Favorite Sewing Pattern

My favorite Spring pattern is the Laura by Rebecca Page Patterns

and it is on sale online as a PDF pattern for $9.28 or 1 credit RIGHT NOW!

Do you remember this hi-low top in my IG feed?  @sewmuchcharm

I still love it and am already planning to make myself another one made from a camo knit print I found on Poppyknit’s website!

This was literally a SUPER FAST sew and it’s great for your Spring wardrobe.  I picked a super soft knit that I purchased from Poppyknit and serged it up on my mother’s serger.  Once I had the pattern pieces and fabric pieces cut out – I had it made it 30 minutes.  The best part, in my opinion, was that I didn’t have to “set in” sleeves.  (Still a technique I’m nervous about!)  They are part of the fabric pieces and they come together as you sew!  This is literally the perfect garment to make for a beginner sewist who wants to make something wearable THE FIRST TIME.  I’ve made this top twice now and really love it.  Here’s my experience the first time.  I can’t rave enough about this pattern.

I encourage you to check it out and let me know what you think about the pattern in the comments below.

Favorite Quilting Pattern

If you also enjoy quilting – I would encourage you to check out the 2019 Back to the Basics Block of the Month Sampler Quilt we made on this blog.  If you are interested in the directions for those blocks, just sign up for the newsletter and I’ll send those out to you.

Each month was a new block!  The center row was the bonus row of blocks to make the quilt the size that I wanted.  You can totally make this quilt by just doubling the original 12 blocks to make a king size quilt to enjoy.

It’s very fun and easy to make, especially if you use an AccuQuilt fabric cutter!  I’ve had mine for over 2 years and there is not a day of regret of making that purchase.  I love it.

Cutting was very hard for me as a beginner quilter and now, I get to focus on sewing and piecing the top instead of cutting and re-cutting fabric pieces.  Cutting is my nemesis.

There is also a NEW sew in going on by Pattern Poole!  Have you heard of them?  They are an amazing mother/daughter dynamic duo that makes and creates patterns for quilting & sewing!  They are just flat out awesome.  I know.  I met them at Quilt Market in 2019 and have been stalking…I mean, err, following them, ever since.  They are based in Australia and have so much NEW coming out – be sure to stay tuned to Sew Much Charm’s Shop Page – because we’re approved to carry the goods in the good ole’ US of A!

Check out the Great Sit IN n’ Sew by Pattern Poole!  It’s a quilt as you go mystery quilt!  What could be better than that, especially while we are stuck at home already!

It’s all in a private Facebook group too with videos and pdf patterns.  You don’t have to go anywhere and most of us can use our stash to make this amazing quilt.  I’m definitely joining in!

Just use the link above to purchase your seat for the GREAT SIT IN N’ SEW by Pattern Poole!  Once your order & payment has been received – I will send your information to be added to the Facebook group where you will receive all of the information to start.

There is even help for TECH ISSUES!

There is nothing to mail – no need to wait!

No need to worry about anything!

As I mentioned above – the bloggers in this Blog Hop may have a giveaway going on!  Be sure to check EACH blog post & just comment on their blog post “SPRING FLING” and something else you want to comment on, if you want.  I have a special giveaway for you too!

Comment on this blog post and be entered to win an 8 pack of fat quarters in batik fabrics!

No purchase necessary.  Make as many comments as you like until Friday, March 27th @ Midnight!  (CST)
