Working Out with Rebecca Page — Giveaway Prize Alert!

RP large-Working Out with Rebecca Page - Blog Tour

When Rebecca Page says Who wants to Work Out? – I knew I needed to answer the call! It’s been something I’ve been neglecting and last year I promised myself to start taking care of me again…I decided to refocus on me and I made myself a quilt and a few items of clothing.  Working out was a regular thing in my past.  I enjoyed running and all sorts of physical activity – however, the thoughts of doing that today – STOP when I think of going to buy athletic clothes.

Who wants to try it on in the store?  I’m always disappointed when I go clothes shopping.  Nothing fits right…It’s frustrating and then i want to go home and eat my feelings.  See the vicious cycle?

My solution – make your ownDon’t close the tab yet…hear me out (prizes information down below!).  But just think, how wonderful would it be to have even a pair of leggings that are 100% comfortable and totally your own style?

Rebecca Page Patterns has created a SUPER EASY pattern for making your own leggings!  There is a kids leggings pattern as well!  My kids love them.  I made them matching camo leggings with a dinosaur print.  To say they love them, is an understatement.  I had to make them take them off after 2 days!  Seriously.

This image – BTW – is of a pair of leggings my daughter wouldn’t even let me finish the hems around her ankles – because she wanted to wear them so badly!  They were so soft she wouldn’t take them off.

Let’s talk fabrics…it’s hard to find clothing at a store in the athletic department that’s actually cute and is comfortable IN MY SIZE right?  They never have the style in my size that I want.  It’s looks so cute in the small size, but it’s not available in mine.

Again – making it yourself – totally fixes that!

So what about adults?  RP has you covered.  When I made the girls leggings, I was kicking myself for not making my own too!  I had to go back and get that adult legging pattern.

I could NOT believe how easy it was to make them!  I also made the Rebecca Page Bralette to go with it and I love them so much!  I made the bralette with the pleated skirt option.  I like my tummy covered.

This is flattering on all sizes – I believe.  The top is a 2XL and my leggings are a 3XL.  Hey, I carry my weight well.  LOL – well, sort of.  I’m normally a XL in American sizes, but Rebecca Page is across the pond and I measure differently over there.  I don’t take it personally.

I really enjoyed making this set!

ANY beginner can make both the leggings AND

the bralette tank top in half a day!

I took an old shirt of my mother’s (from one of those famously soft overpriced clothing lines) and re-purposed it by making the top of the bralette from it.  I wanted a pop of color and I think I achieved that.  I used some athletic material in the heather grey and made the skirt and leggings.  The end result is amazing!

They feel so soft and are so comfortable – I have no excuses now!

Well, maybe that I need to make a few more first…LOL!
