The Dora – Rebecca Page Patterns

IMG_0706

I had a very hard time deciding which fabric to use for this dress…I wanted something that I could wear to church (dressy) but also colorful and bright and FUN!

So instead, I used a spring floral print.  I want to add more color to my wardrobe, right?  This definitely does it…

I was so excited when I finished this dress, I didn’t even put on shoes.  I added a belt that I had in my closet to add some contrast, but I looking back, I won’t wear the belt when I wear the dress out for my next date night out with hubby.

Even with the holidays coming up, I can add a maroon or blue sweater and still make it for the holidays…or even better…I can make another one!  You can too!  Oh a red and black buffalo plaid print would be adorable!

This is a Rebecca-Page Pattern!  You remember my new found love for Rebecca Page?  I can’t believe how awesome this pattern is!

From the Rebecca Page description:

“The Dora Dress sewing pattern is an advanced-beginner sew that will give you one of the most versatile dresses you’ll ever make! The fitted and lined bodice, nipped in waist, and flared knee-length skirt form a flattering silhouette that suits all body types, and can be used to create many different looks from different woven fabrics.

The optional choices for sleeves (sleeveless, cap, and gathered cap) add even more versatility to the dress. You can use this pattern to make a sleeveless sundress or a more formal cap-sleeved garment. Go from beach to party to dinner date to wedding to work to church with one lovely pattern. Add horsehair braid to the hem for va-va-voom structure.

And, of course, there are optional POCKETS (because we love a pocket!).”

IT IS CURRENTLY ON SALE FOR ONLY $5.80 FOR ONLY 3 MORE DAYS!
