It’s been a super busy month, but honestly, it’s been a super busy year. I could not have imagined what this year was going to bring forth a year ago. I never thought I’d have to update the entire web page and get it ready for business! We have had a huge spark in interest and the wait list continues for custom quilts…If I had a babysitter more often, I could crank out these beautiful quilts much faster.
I’m working on finishing up a dress for Rebecca Page Patterns as one of their brand ambassadors…VERY EXCITING! #secretsewing I’ve already got the next pattern emailed to me and so I’m very excited about those as well. That should be a quick sew and if all goes well, I may have a few extra for sale on the page for Christmas presents! It may be even what our subscription “boxes” get packaged in….OH THE DETAILS!
Subscription Boxes…Oh wow. Favorite Fat Quarters in a super cute package could just be what kicks us off!
I have FINALLY selected the sashing fabric for my Back to the Basics Block of the Month Quilt. I think I will cut the sashing out next week and start piecing together the blocks I have ready.
I’m also currently in the last month of planning and finalizing the Tenth Annual Knights of Columbus Charity Quilt Show in Hempstead, Texas. It has been an amazing honor to be asked to be on this committee of wonderful people. If you are in Texas…you need to check your calendar for November 9th. Plan a trip down and see this wonderful quilt show. For more details – Go like & follow their Facebook Page!
Not only is it a quilt show…but there will be vendors available to purchase all sorts of goodies from! We will have a chicken fried steak dinner starting at 5pm & a live auction starting at 6pm. There will be a silent auction and raffles too!
Every 30 minutes of the quilt show – GIVEAWAY!
Last year, we were able to raise over $20,000 for local charities in our own community. What does that mean? It means that for every child with medical needs that this board found out about – got help! It means that local people in the Waller County (and some in surrounding counties) got the help that they needed to succeed and move forward with their healing in BIG WAYS.
That’s an event I can get behind and support!
Happy Quilting! (& Sewing!)
